It can be manufactured by two routes: Enzymatic Hydrolysis & Alkali Hydrolysis. The products are manufactured by the enzymatic hydrolysis route, where the solution is heated to irreversibly inactivate enzymes, then concentrated & spray-dried in a controlled environment to prevent bacterial contamination.
