MONO AMMONIUM PHOSPHATE
Product Category: PHOSPHATES
Product: MONO AMMONIUM PHOSPHATE Product Code: F001
Information on Mono Ammonium Phosphate
Mono Ammonium Phosphate is a derivative of Phosphoric Acid. Mono Ammonium Phosphate is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of 190∘C. It should be stored in tightly closed containers at room temperature.
Synthesis / Manufacturing Process of Mono Ammonium Phosphate
The main raw material is Phosphoric Acid, which is manufactured from Rock Phosphates. The phosphoric acid slurry is mixed with sulfuric acid, which is added to a series of reactors as a leaching agent. After the reaction, the process stream is washed with evaporator condensate while being forced through a filter. The filter cake is primarily composed of gypsum (CaSO4.2H2O). The phosphoric acid is concentrated to 25-100% by a series of evaporators and then cooled. Mono Ammonium Phosphate is manufactured by a reaction between Ammonia and Phosphoric Acid. The resulting slurry is granulated.
