Product: MONOSODIUM PHOSPHATE Product Code: F005
Information on Monosodium Phosphate
Monosodium Phosphate is a derivative of phosphoric acid. It is a white powder or crystalline solid that is soluble in water. It should be stored in tightly closed containers at room temperature.
Synthesis / Manufacturing Process of Monosodium Phosphate
The major raw material is phosphoric acid, which is manufactured from rock phosphates. The phosphoric acid slurry is mixed with sulphuric acid, which is added to a series of reactors as a leaching agent. After the reaction is complete, the process stream is washed with evaporator condensate while being filtered. The filter cake is composed primarily of gypsum (CaSO4.2H2O). Monosodium Phosphate is manufactured by reacting Sodium Hydroxide with Phosphoric Acid.
